LegalTOOL.IO ("LegalTOOL", "we", "us") is a legal-operations technology platform serving businesses across Asia-Pacific. This policy explains what information we handle and how. LegalTOOL.IO is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.
1. Information we handle
- Account & contact details — for lawyers joining our network: name, email, phone (optional), jurisdictions and specialties you provide.
- Documents you upload — files you submit to the Advisor for analysis.
- Usage information — basic technical data (e.g. request timing) needed to operate and secure the service.
2. How we use it
- To generate an AI first-pass analysis of documents you upload.
- To route matters to a qualified lawyer in our network for review, where you request it.
- To verify a lawyer's preferred contact channel before activating them.
- To operate, secure, and improve the service.
3. Your uploaded documents are not stored
Documents you upload are processed in memory to produce your analysis and are not retained on our servers afterward. To generate the analysis, document content is transmitted to our AI processing provider (Anthropic) and handled under their terms; we do not use your documents to train models.
4. Sharing
We share information only as needed to provide the service: with the reviewing lawyer for any matter you choose to route, and with our AI and infrastructure providers acting on our behalf. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Retention
Uploaded documents are not retained after processing. Lawyer-network registry details are kept while your account is active and removed on request.
6. Your choices & rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at privacy@legaltool.io. We aim to handle requests consistently with applicable Asia-Pacific data-protection laws, including Hong Kong's PDPO and Singapore's PDPA.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect information we handle.
